About

MoPiD (Movie Processor for iPoD) is a frontend for Mencoder designed for the podzilla0 video player for iPodLinux, which requires a certain set of encodings and conversions. Simply provide the requested data and you will have a video in no time!

Instructions

All instructions are located in the Readme.txt and Tutorial.txt files included with your MoPiD release.

No, there's no Support for Compression

MoPiD does not support compression because the iPodLinux video player does not support compression. Trying to make a 75MHz processor uncompress and play videos is an extremely daunting task for the developers of iPodLinux. Please do not ask when it will be supported or why it isn't supported.

Important Note about MFC71.DLL

If you ever get an error saying that MFC71.DLL is not installed, please go here:
http://starship.python.net/crew/mhammond/downloads/mfc71.dll

After downloading it, move it to your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ folder and it will work (replace C with the letter of your system drive).

Mirror of MFC71.DLL (Thanks to jannis).

Changelog

Current Version: 1.5b - GUI SUPPORT! MoPiD now uses a wizard interface to convert your videos! Enjoy!
Old 1.0 Series:
1.23b - Fixed the FPS bug! Um, it was a rather silly error on my part; sorry about that.
1.22b - Finally updated the Readme. Added a quick tutorial (located at Tutorial.txt). MoPiD now allows you to select anywhere in the range of 1 to 15 FPS. Various typos, etc. fixed. Also, the difference between the open and save dialog box is a bit more obvious.
1.21b - Fixes another bug with movie conversion. Also adds support for the selection of the FPS that you want.
1.2b - Includes all of the things that the patch did below plus a major bug fix involving file-format conversion. Technically, you should now be able to convert WMV and MPG to AVI properly. I haven't tried it yet, though.
Patch to 1.11b - Upgrades 2bppconv to .31 with better dithering and some bug fixes.
1.1b - Includes support for ZachBG's dithering patch for 2bppconv as well as various other bug fixes of his. Also, some bug fixes of my own.
1.0 Beta - First Public Release.
