About

Most of these are just some tests that I have created with various image editing programs like the GIMP, Inkscape, and others. They range from mediocre to substantially-less-than-mediocre. Click on an image to view the full-size version.

Old Stuff

glasstype2_black.png
This is the same image as the one below it, only on a black background.

glasstype2.png
I wanted to make a glass-like button similar to the one in Windows Media Player. This is my first attempt at it. It's not great and the edges need to be smoothed, but I'm getting there.

glasstest1.png
Using the GIMP and this tutorial, I was able to create some glass spheres. This is the preliminary test. In the future, I plan to modify the algorithm a bit to suit my needs.

glosstest.png
This was a test of handmade glassy features on several different objects, including text. It was made with Inkscape, a free vector drawing application.

Older Stuff

blamo_title.png
A logo I made for a forum.

skc1000.jpg
Another congratulations post that I made for the Silver Knights Forum.

gd1000.jpg
A congratulations post that I made for the Silver Knights Forum. A bit over-sharpened, don't you think?

present25.jpg
Another 1,000,000 hit image for Mr. Teshima.

present22.jpg
A 1,000,000 hit congratulations image for the Silver Knights Homepage. Mr. Teshima put it up on his homepage, too.

Really Old Stuff

Christmas.png
Merry Christmas!

painting.jpg
This was my first attempt at some lighting techniques. Although this looks horrible, I've learned some interesting things that shall most certainly help in the future.

fish.jpg
The Ancient Fish. Another 5 minute piece that continues to test features.

cow.jpg
This Gateway™-inspired piece was another test for trying different layering techniques.

starburst.jpg
This was my attempt at an interlocking set of layers. I discovered the ease of how to do this very quickly.

wrinkledchrome.jpg
I wanted to create a wrinkled sheet metal look and achieved it somewhat with this. This would be well suited for a, for example, large plane of wrinkled metal with a stamped out image in it. I played around with a bunch of features to get this and I'm sure that with further work, I can make it even better.

ninja.jpg
This ninja was actually the first decent (^.^ joke) thing I have done. Sorry I didn't make the background transparent... However, I have extracted it from its background and have used it in several projects.

sword.jpg
I think that's supposed to be a shield. The sword got cut off.

toungue.jpg
Okay then...

chargeup.png
I used the wind feature to make the strangely pointy buildings and the supernova effect to make the little powerball.

joust.jpg
I was playing around with my editor's wind feature.

test.jpg
This is a small image that I made starting with a blank canvas. The beach effect was later used in another project.
