Sophos Radio Server

About
In the first few weeks of January, 2007, I became tired of trying to listen to internet radio stations while doing things that didn't involve a computer. My computer has several loud fans in it, making it impractical for listening to radio streams. So, I decided to build a quiet Mini-ITX computer that would stream the stations right to my stereo.
The Hardware
Case - iStarUSA compact case with 1 (quiet) 80mm fan
Motherboard - JetWay Motherboard with VIA C3 Processor
Memory - 256MB CORSAIR RAM
Hard Drive - 80GB Seagate Drive
The Software
Sophos runs Gentoo Linux with LightTPD, Pure-FTPd, and some other fun services. I originally planned to create a touchscreen interface for choosing radio stations, but eventually decided against it (touchscreens are just so expensive!). Instead, I designed a simple little interface in Python that I can control through SSH or even by just hitting a number on the keyboard that's connected to Sophos. Eventually, I will remove that keyboard and will replace it with a proper IR receiver.
